Ginang Alaska 2008

Now on its 6th year, Ginang Alaska continues to recognize and pay tribute to the women who give meaning to our lives. Among the 250 moms who joined the contest, thirty stood out as model mothers with their personal achievements, remarkable personalities and culinary skills.

For the candidates, Ginang Alaska is an opportunity to showcase their homemaking skills, share their stories and experiences as moms and wives, and prove to the world that being a mother is the greatest "career" a woman can have. For some, it is a fulfillment of a dream they were not able to do and experience when they were young and single -- be a crowned winner and feel like a beauty queen.

Hundreds of stories about motherhood were shared by the candidates, but their take on motherhood is the same. It changed their lives, taught them how to be selfless and strengthened their characters.

They newly crowned winners are ready to take on the challenge of showing the world that "wala pa ring tatalo sa Ginang Alaska."
