Alaska Milk is Finance Asia's Best Small Cap Company in RP

Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) was adjudged as the Best Small Cap Company in the Philippines in the latest survey conducted by Finance Asia, Asia’s leading financial publishing company based in Hong Kong.

Finance Asia collected votes from 238 investors and analysts across the region for the annual poll of Asia's Best Managed Companies. In 2004, AMC received the same recognition from Finance Asia, getting the nod from among 424 fund managers and equity analysts at that time. AMC President and CEO Wilfred Steven Uytengsu, Jr. said, "We are honored with the distinction of being the Best Small Cap Company and it is a reflection on how we are managing the company amidst these economic challenges."

AMC was recognized by Finance Asia as Best in Corporate Governance in 2002 and Best in Investor Relations in 2003. In 2000 and 2002, Forbes Magazine named AMC as one of the Best Small Cap Companies worldwide. AMC was also recognized as one of the top 20 companies in Corporate Governance by the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2007 and 2008. Moreover, the company became a back to back finalist for the Management Association of the Philippines' (MAP) Best Annual Report among publicly-listed companies in 2006 and 2007.
