Alaska Halo-Halo at Samalamig Fiesta 2008
Buong Pilipinas, nag-summer samalamig with Alaska Evaporada!
Alaska Evaporada's summer festival got bigger this year as 50 cities nationwide cooled down with the Alaska Halo-Halo at Samalamig Fiesta. 650 barangays all over the country made hundreds of halo-halo and samalamig preparations, all made more delicious by Alaska Evaporada!
The barangays competed for the most delicious and most unique halo-halo and samalamig preparations made in the most fun and creative way. Some combined cultural with modern dances while highlighting their own unique halo-halo, while others made use of impressive props and costumes to complement their special samalamig.
Fiesta games such as sack race and tug-of-war added excitement to the activities in the participating cities and gave everyone a chance to bring home prizes. The winning groups or barangays will also receive cash prizes for community development and improvement projects.
