Alaska Milk Corporation reinforces its commitment to support sports in the country by making it a venue of choice by international athletes and make Philippines known for sports tourism. While much focus has been given to team sports basketball and football, Alaska Power Camp also partners with various groups in support of newer sports like triathlon. Triathlon in the Philippines is growing and starting to gain interest and demand as seen in the IronMan 70.3 Philippines events (slots were sold out in just 4 days for 2013 race and only 4 hours for the upcoming 2014 race in Cebu) and Alaska IronKids Philippines (from just 60 participants in 2010 now, it’s over 200 in 2013).
Alaska Milk also teams up with the best team in triathlon history to form the Alaska teamTBB Philippines. It is a professional organization for triathlon that nurtures a unique culture to provide hope and opportunity through sports. A mix of international athletes and young Filipino protégés were carefully chosen to train and compete in world-class events. Its aim is to develop a grass-roots athlete development program that will produce the next generation of Filipino champions
