Alaska Milk and Robinsons collaborate for AlasKalusugan, sign MOA to seal partnership

Antipolo City, Philippines – Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and supermarket chain giant Robinsons Supermarket Corporation (RSC) partnered in fighting malnutrition in the country in celebration of World Milk Day. Together with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Antipolo City Schools Division Office, the parties signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on June 22, 2023. This partnership is made possible through AlasKalusugan, Alaska Milk’s Adopt-A-School Milk-Feeding Program, aimed at helping the Department of Education lessen undernutrition and hunger among schoolchildren in the Philippines.

“On behalf of Alaska Milk, I am really humbled to be part of this initiative because this kind of undertaking is embedded in Alaska Milk’s brand and purpose. And that mission is to nourish Filipino families by providing healthy, nutritious, and of course, affordable products and solutions,” said AMC Sales Director Jill Isabel Que.

Top executives from all three organizations attended the ceremonial signing ceremony, including Antipolo City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lerma Flandez, CESO VI. Three banners of RSC joined in this endeavor, namely Robinsons Easymart, Robinsons Shopwise, and Robinsons Supermarket, which will adopt Mayamot and Calawis Elementary Schools in Antipolo City and Sinsayon Elementary School in Santiago City, Isabela, respectively.

“We, in Robinsons, have health and wellness advocacy in which we teach and help our consumers choose healthier and better options that will greatly impact their health. This partnership will help ensure that children in Antipolo City have access to nutritious milk, essential for their growth and development,” emphasized Mai Magleo, Merchandising Director of RSC.

In this partnership, every P120-worth of participating products of Alaska, P12 will directly go to the donation drive to provide 100 schoolchildren in each school a free glass of milk for 120 feeding days. This aims to give back to the community by leveraging existing promotional platforms between AMC and RSC called “AlasKaramay” for greater reach and awareness. Aside from helping in this initiative, the top shopper will also be awarded P10,000 worth of gift certificates by AMC.

The Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement signing is just the beginning of what promises to be a continuing and fruitful partnership among AMC, RSC, and DepEd. This is a testament to the power of collaboration. Together, they hope to significantly impact the lives of children in the Philippines, help fight malnutrition, and reduce the incidence of malnutrition in the Philippines.

“As a dairy company, we strongly believe that if we have healthy children and families, then we have a sustainable and healthy nation,” Que added.
